Cersaie 2022: Conferences and Seminars
Iosa Ghini Associati Talk: "Nomadic Living"

WED 28 September - 10.30 a.m.
Archincont(r)act - Gall. 21-22

The new needs dictated by sustainability are bringing changes in terms of habits, lifestyles and homes. Our homes are adapting to the trajectories of our lives. They are no longer a single space but encompass different possibilities. They reflect our new nomadic lifestyles that take us from one city to another in a constant state of motion that is no longer the exception but the rule. In the 1970s we saw the emergence of a new kind of professional. Now with the development of the Internet and the consequent transformation of the workplace, constant mobility is no longer the exception but the norm. And in this new normal, spaces are adapted and reinvented by architects. In architecture, sustainability not only means focusing on materials, working methods, construction and recycling, but also taking account of new social habits.
