[a concept by CuoreCarpenito]
Koinè focuses on transforming key sculptural forms from Claudia Carpenito’s alphabet into two-dimensional decorations, inspired by elements like the imperfect semicircle, the oblique line and ancient Apulian vase loops.
These motifs reflect the cultural exchange in the Messapia region, where Cretans and Romans contributed to a shared artistic language, visible in artifacts today at the Egnatia archaeological museum.
The Koinè collection draws from this cultural blend, with Carpenito synthesizing ancient symbols into essential forms, intended as ‘necessary baggage’ for navigating time in a continuous dialogue between past and future.
