Collezione Puntini

Majolica ceramic tiles invaded by tiny dot-shaped brushstrokes, hand-decorated and inspired by the pointillism, are a ceramic collection designed by the Architect Alessandro Mendini for Ceramica Francesco De Maio, as a direct consequence of a work of art that the company realized in July 2018 and since October 2020 has been part of the permanent collection of MADRE Museum, Naples.

Dots of different sizes: small, very small or large and very large.

Very colourful decorations - done according to the “Mendini Style”, which is open to the language of the contemporary era in this magical combination of tradition and creativity all Made in Italy - are the perfect opportunity for interaction between the excellence and the ancient tradition of Vietri ceramics, of which Francesco De Maio is a worldwide emblem, and the Made in Italy creativity by Alessandro Mendini, one of the most appreciated contemporary designers.

Therefore, in Puntini Collection the poetics of this great Italian artist, of Milanese origins, emerges in order to give a further opening to contemporary languages in the tradition of Vietri which, at the same time, enhances modern spaces and architecture.
