During his professional and academic career at the Carlo Bo University of Urbino, Alessandro Sistri has worked in the fields of territorial and business communications, enhancement and promotion of the local identity, tourism and cultural marketing. He has over ten years’ experience in the organisation of hospitality circuits in various national contexts. Since the Eighties he has been responsible for many different projects in the field of territorial marketing and local and business promotion, on behalf of public institutions and private associations. He has published a number of books with Touring Club Italiano and other Italian publishers including Slow Food, Diabasis, Minerva and others besides. His bibliography runs from scientific to popular studies of territorial, ethnographic, historical and sociological identity and to information guides on the cultural and environmental heritage of many Italian areas.
