Matera is a collection of crafted ceramic products obtained from coloured refractory clays. Each product is an unprecedented mix of wet clay, stored manually in metal molds, and the “coloured full body” that, permeating the clay wet, not only makes the product rich in nuances but also guarantees the strength and impermeability, closing any microporosity of air on the surface.
The nuances reflect the place from which it takes its name: from the black of the lava rock to the greens of the parietaria plant, from the red of the brick to the sand of the distinctive rocks. For each color there are 4 different surfaces that differ from each other according to different mixtures of coloured grits and glazes.
