Biographical notes
Architect, born in 1977, founded Francesco Librizzi Studio in Milan in 2005, an atelier working across architecture, interior design, exhibition design, and product design. The studio’s work is distinguished by a precise and consistent research on the essence of space, developed through projects where architectural proportion is translated into plastic, evocative, and deeply contextual solutions.
He designed the Italian Pavilion (2010) and the Bahrain Pavilion (2012) at the Venice Biennale, and has created exhibition designs for the Triennale di Milano, Palazzo Citterio, and Palazzo Ducale in Urbino, as well as numerous projects for the Fondazione MAST and the Museo Nazionale dell’Automobile in Turin. He was Art Director of FontanaArte (2018–2024) and is currently Art Director of Dàmeda, an emerging brand in the upholstered furniture sector. His projects have received international awards such as the Prix Émile Hermès, the German Design Award, and an Honourable Mention at the Compasso d’Oro 2014 for the exhibition “Gino Sarfatti: The Design of Light” at the Triennale di Milano. His work has been featured in leading international magazines such as Domus, Abitare, and Wallpaper, and exhibited in institutions including the Louvre and the Triennale di Milano. Alongside his professional practice, he teaches at NABA – Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti, Milan, and collaborates with prominent institutions and journals in the fields of design and architecture.
