Biographical notes
President of Nuvolaverde, the committee which aims to spread the use of digital technology for sustainability, fostered by the Ministry of Environment, Small-Scale Industry, Confindustria [Italian confederation of industry] and Expo 2015. He collaborates with the newspaper Il Sole 24 Ore on the topics of smart cities, and Radio 24 with the programme Ferryboat. He also conducts the radio programme 'In viaggio verso l'economia sociale' broadcast by Radio24/Il Sole 24 Ore. Chairman of the Premio Areté committee for the award bestowed on the Communications Manager of Confindustria.
Author and main actor of the theatrical production "Auto Critica, if you don't stop you're lost", dedicated to the topics of sustainable mobility. For the publisher Egea/Bocconi he wrote "The car to come, the future of mobility", the "Mediolanum case history", "from the bank to family bankers". He also worked on the publication of "Philips, Sense and Simplicity" with Sergio Tonfi. For Salerno Editrice he was the co-author of the following publications: L’Italia c’è [Italy exists] together with Ermete Realacci; Creativo Sovversivo [Creative subversion] together with Oliviero Toscani; L’ecobusiness ci salverà? [Will ecobusiness save us?] together with Marco Roveda; Vertigine mediatica [Mediatic vertigo] together with Patrizio Paoletti, and Domare la Tecnologia [Taming technology] together with Stefano Marzano.

WINMedical (certified ISO13485 and ISO9001) is a leading manufacturer of electro-medical devices for departments with low to medium intensity of medical care. It designs, develops and markets wireless medical systems using state-of-the-art technology, for the well-being of men and women in the third millennium.
It started in 2009 as a spin-off of the SSSUP College (Scuola Superiore di Studi e Perfezionamento Sant'Anna) in Pisa, and continued to develop at the technology incubator Pon-Tech. It is currently located in Via Giuntini 63 (int. A4) in Navacchio (Pisa).
In 2011, following its firm belief in the innovation and potential of the WINMedical products, a group of shareholders of Italian Angels For Growth, Italy's largest Business Angel group, invested in WINMedical through the vehicle Wireless 29 srl and the SICI foundation (Fondo SICI - Sviluppo Impreso Centro Italia SGR s.p.a., a foundation for the development of enterprise in Central Italy).

Business Development Executive - Energy & Utility Industry - IBM Italy

Biographical notes
Carlo Maria Drago has worked at IBM since 1985 where he currently covers the role of Business Development Executive for the Energy & Utilities sector, Italy.

In this position he is responsible for identifying the market trends and scenario and consequently gearing IBM's strategy in this sector, towards the development of solutions and services aimed at energy & utility companies.

Working side by side the most important Utilities companies both at home and abroad have allowed Carlo Maria to gain profound expertise in this sector. He also has a strong technological background which allows him to interact with companies at all managerial levels and within different project areas.
In the past ten years, Carlo Drago has been particularly involved in the topics of Smart Grids and the evolution of the market following the establishment of the electrical energy produced from renewable sources, starting in 2003 with the launch of the new solution of Advanced Meter Management, the installation of which in Italy has enabled a radical transformation for electric companies. Between 2005 and 2009 he extended his business activities at international level, meeting over 60 executive clients to discuss the topics of Smart Metering and Smart Grid, offering advisory services and training sessions on these topics and concluding an important project in Malta, which is now a considered a benchmark in this field.

He graduated in civil engineering at the University of Rome and obtained a Master in Project Management at the PMI (Project Management Institute), as well as the IBM internal certification.
He has lectured at numerous conventions and events in the Energy sector and takes part in various national and international research projects.
