Mimesi originates from the observation of a French limestone, interpreted through its most authentic characteristics: a compact, sandy background, subtle fossil inclusions, and delicate veining. The name itself embodies the essence of the collection. Mimesi is not imitation, but interpretation: the creative act through which nature is observed, understood, and transformed into material for design.Further defining its character are three surfaces – Natural, Brushed, and Grain – each translating a different stone treatment. Natural conveys its most authentic and measured expression; Brushed, inspired by brushed stone, enhances chromatic depth through a soft, silky feel; Grain, reminiscent of sandblasting, lightens the surface and introduces a drier, more tactile character. These interpretations are complemented by Twill, a three-dimensional geometric texture created using a unique technology that brings rhythm and depth to the surface. The decorative element thus becomes an integral part of the material itself, expanding the collection’s compositional possibilities. An extensive range of sizes and thicknesses makes it possible to create continuity between indoor and outdoor spaces, reflecting the design versatility of Lea Ceramiche’s exclusive 3-tech Project. The outdoor offering extends to a 20 mm thickness with the Hammered treatment, featuring a subtle bush-hammered texture, while Safetouch technology combines a pleasantly soft feel with high slip resistance.
