Le Mille e una Notte is a collection of glazed terracotta tiles featuring raised decorative patterns inspired by the geometric motifs and arabesques of the East. Each design is created through hand-modelled relief, glazed by hand, and wood-fired in the historic kiln of Modena.
The collection comprises eight distinctive patterns: Amira, Arabesque, Istanbul, Madinat, Mayssane, Paglia di Vienna, Rayane, and Siria. Each name evokes a place, a story, and a geometry that captures and reflects light in its own unique way. Installed individually, as patchwork compositions, or in monochromatic arrangements, these tiles create expressive, living surfaces.
Le Mille e una Notte can be produced in every colour and material available within the collection from antique whites to metallic bronzes, from extra-gloss black to vibrant shades such as Lobster Red, Sky Blue, and Turquoise. Selected by Lissoni & Associati for the suites of The Oberoi Al Zorah, the collection was used to clad 994 m² of walls in the United Arab Emirates.
