One Up is a Taleta patent. It is based on a hydroalcoholic solution of titanium dioxide nanoparticles, which, thanks to their photocatalytic properties, give the treated material self-cleaning properties and make it bacteriostatic.
When illuminated by sunlight or artificial light, the treated surface exhibits high hydrophilicity, allowing the material to be completely wettable. At night or in the absence of light, the material becomes hydrophobic, allowing all accumulated water to roll off, dragging away dirt. The properties of One Up are perfect for ceramics used in environments requiring frequent cleaning.
It can be applied in the final stage of production, allowing the nanoparticle to bind to the ceramic, or later.
