description: Another example of how the wash basin can be dissociated from the shapes used for other sanitary fittings and find new formal references: in this case, to the bath tub. As the wash basin swivels, it can be oriented to suit the user’s needs of the moment. As the bath tub has an encapsulated shape, it can stand free in the centre of the room and does not necessarily have to (but can) be built in.
